Ethans Broken Heart:(

The other night we had some friends over for games. When they were leaving their little boy, 9 months, wanted me to hold him so I told his parents he can stay with us, just joking with them but it broke Ethans heart when I gave him back to his parents so they could take him home . After they were gone I found Ethan crying alligator tears. When I asked him why he was crying my heart broke. He said "I don't want Christmas this year". "Why not?" I asked him "I don't want to open any presents!" "Why do you not want to open any presents this year?" "I just want a real baby that moves not a pretend baby." Talk about heart break. What do you do when you have a little one who wants nothing but a brother or sister and you can't give him that? Brett & I know that we will have another child SOME DAY but Ethan just doesn't understand why God won't let him have a bro or sis. That is the only thing that is making our adoption experience hard. The next day I woke up to Ethan Shaking me "Mom,mom, my sisters name is going to be Kaylee!" "We already have girl names picked out remember, why do you think her name is going to be Kaylee?" "It's in my head and it wont get out!" A few minutes later I hear Ethan yelling,"It's still in my head! It won't leave!" I guess Brett & I will consider Kaylee for a girls name. It will happen. It just takes time.
